Khalsa Ladies Camp

Young children and the KLC Experience

Khalsa Ladies Camp Does Not Incorporate Young Children into the Camp

Come and be you. Khalsa Ladies Camp is made for you to experience yourself in the core of yourself as a woman, to drink deep from the depth of the Divine Feminine. The environment is made for you to renew your simple rhythm of life.

We identify ourselves so much with who we are in relation to everyone else: we are a wife, we are a mother, we are a girlfriend, we are a worker, we are a teacher. Yet in order to be all of these things to so many beloved people in our lives, there is one relationship that needs to be nurtured. That is with our own soul, with our own being. Where we say: I am a woman.

Khalsa Ladies Camp is an opportunity to do this, to experience yourself without the usual demands on your time and aura. We are so wired to respond to the needs of others that we forget our own need to go deep into the call of the soul. Every woman needs this time and environment to relax, meditate, laugh, dance, be in the company of other women in a sacred space. This is a deeply relaxing experience, a chance for recuperation and revitalization on a cellular and unconscious level. This is necessary in order to successfully and with sacredness be a woman in this world.

This is why we do not incorporate infants and toddlers into the program of Khalsa Ladies Camp. When young children are around, women automatically respond to the sight and sounds of the children. We find that instead of going deep deep deep, our auras and arclines respond to the call of the child. KLC is creating an environment which allows this depth, so for a few days we are not wives, mothers, "responders". Instead, we are nurturing the depth of woman as woman. We do this in the presence of other women, moving consciously together for a few days.

Young Women CAN be Part of KLC

KLC does encourage you to bring your daughters 7 years old and older IF they can honor your need to meditate and be with the other women, while they bond with their peers and other young ladies, and be part of the Young Woman's Program. You as a mother need to honestly weigh this and feel what is best for you and your daughter.

Activate Your Support System

What is your support network in your life? Every woman needs this. Is it your husband, friends, family? Allow them the experience of giving you this support, to take your children into their care for these few days. This is also very nurturing for your young child, to see that their life is supported by more than just you.

But I See Some Young Children at KLC?

Yes, it's true, some staff members and some ladies DO bring their young children. This is weighed on an individual and very limited basis. All of these women are either staff members, or have been to KLC before, and come with no expectation of participating in the activities with their children. They understand the environment that needs to be created, honor that, have trained their children to honor that, and serve the space.

Khalsa Ladies Camp is a unique culture. Come as you are and be served within it. Be pure, relaxed, and enchanted.

You don't get a chance just to enjoy, just to be, for even a minute. I'm not asking you for ten years, just for a few minutes, to close your eyes and say, "My God, I am a graceful woman." Don't even call it graceful. Just say, "I'm a woman."

"If a woman knows she is a woman and she knows how to be a woman, nothing can happen to her. That’s a law."

"It’s a time to find the commodity which is rare, and we can’t get it all the time."
